Like Picasso's painting it is very difficult to understand Stravinsky's music, especially when he use the abstract method to preformance his abstrct pieces. However, i seem to find the clue of his most famous music--The Rite of Spring after my bloody, crazy, busy september in 2007. (Very sorry to my spaces, i can't update you until now.)

 

On my first day back i told to my headmaster i arranged a busy summer vocation in China and would like to spend a comfortable holiday during the semester in Britain, it's just a joke. But the truth is my life will only becomg busier and busier, everything heppened in a reverse way, my life in September was dominated by lectures, logical thinking and english skill exams, university application, interviews with the local councilors and the new Chinese students... ...God! The hardest aspect was not completing all the things step by step, the mean thing was i always run out of my arrangement because the councilors could speak as long as he want noboday can interrupt their topic, so 4 hours, 5 hours went without notice, also because the information requirement for the decision making were unpredictable it was difficult to say 'i can finish it before ****', however, you need to know when you have to finish them whick embarassed me most. Anyway i will come back to the orbit soon, i trust this all the while. Since my Cambridge application form has sent yestoday, first, i remove the pressure in this semester, i can cross my fingers and wait for the next event now.  

 

Let's come back to the music, the uncertain and changeable elements or inducements in the Rite of Spring are not only just reflect the aboriginality and the demonolatry, but also reflect the unperdictable destiny for the dancing girl and the indigenes, because the girl cannot stop dancing on the fire until she died, she don't know when is her deadline the only thing she know is her die can bring the lucky to the whole area. Therefore during her dance we can hear from the music that she is willing to died but also worry about it at the same time. The songs of indigenes are not a kind of against, in reverse that's a kind of esteem to both the girl and the natural environment. The key for the whole piece of symphony is the combination of unpredictable and hope, that's what my experience tell me.

 

Although the future is unpredictable, i can keep the hope and try my best to fulfill it, dancing on the fire is also a kind of beauty, isn't it?
